Second Assembly of the Fifth Plenary Council of Australia

The Second Assembly of the Fifth Plenary Council of Australia takes place from 3–9 July 2022. Masses and sessions will be live-streamed each day and people are invited to send messages of prayer, hope and support to the members gathering in Sydney. For more information or to find the live streaming schedule please visit the ACBC Plenary Council website, www.plenarycouncil.catholic.org.au

The Plenary Council is the highest formal gathering of the church across the country and brings together Catholics of many different backgrounds, seeking the guidance of the Holy Spirit to discern what God is asking of the Church in Australia. At the end of this long period of listening to the Holy Spirit speaking through the voices of the faithful, Australia’s bishops will vote on any future directions for the Church in our country.

Director Pastoral Ministries of the Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle Teresa Brierley wrote about it in her column this week, CLICK HERE to read it.
