There is one new resource from Renew International for small groups on the new translation of the Mass. It is called ‘Lifting up our Hearts and is available from the ‘Faith and Life’ vicariate of the Brisbane Archdiocese. For further information click here.
Missal Updates
1. At the recent Clergy Conference on the New Missal, the clergy decided that all parishes across the diocese would begin using the new people’s parts from the Revised Missal on the first Sunday in September – i.e., the 3rd / 4th of September 2011. The Laminated pew cards will be used then.
2. The March edition of Liturgy News includes in its Editorial on pg 2, a suggested preaching plan to support the introduction of the New Missal. There are other articles on the Missal on pg.12-14
3. The May edition of The Summit has good articles on the New Missal; on pg 4-5, 34-38, the last one suggesting sections from the DVD Become one Body One Spirit in Christ.
4. The New Zealand National Catholic website includes a Word document template for the new Missal which may assist parishes in reformatting all their booklet templates. Click here to access this document.
5. Recently Redemptorist Fr Paul Bird composed a Mass setting for the new Missal entitled Mass of St. Alphonsus. Click here to access the Mass or purchase sheet music or on the icon below for further information.
