Two Bishops Trust - Festival of Sharing Calendar (August 27 - September 5 1999)
The Most Reverend Michael Malone (Catholic Bishop of Maitland-Newcastle) and The Right Reverend Roger Herft (Anglican Bishop of Newcastle) will personally lead the Two Bishops Trust's campaign against unemployment and its social impact throughout the Hunter, Central Coast and Manning Regions. Their calendar of appearances is as follows (All Media are invited):

Friday August 27, 10 am: The two Bishops will raise the Knights flag atop Christ Church Cathedral which overlooks the City of Newcastle. The Bishops will be accompanied by Michael Hill (Chairman of the Newcastle Knights).

Friday August 27, 10.15am: The two Bishops will release an historic unified Pastoral Letter on the social impact of unemployment throughout the Hunter, Central Coast and Manning Regions. The document is entitled United We Stand.

Saturday August 28, 7pm for 7.30pm: The two Bishops will speak at the Inaugural Two Bishops Trust Dinner at Western Suburbs (N'cle) Leagues Club. The Harragon family will be their special guests. Paul Harragon (The Chief) will propose the inaugural Festival of Sharing toast.

Sunday August 29, 2.20pm: An historic moment. The two Bishops will walk onto the field at Marathon Stadium before the Knights play Sydney City. They will be accompanied by Michael Hill (Chairman of the Newcastle Knights). In meeting the people on their home ground, the two Bishops will appeal to the Hunter, Central Coast and Manning Regions to unite against unemployment.

Sunday August 29, Half-time of main game: The two Bishops will draw the winning tickets in the Paul Harragon Testimonial Raffle.

Sunday September 5, 6pm: The two Bishops will preside over an historic Ecumenical Service to celebrate the conclusion of the Festival of Sharing.
