Community encouraged to have their say about jobs in Cessnock
Would you like to have a say on how to create jobs in Cessnock and the Hunter?

The Two Bishops Trust has initiated a two-day Employment Rally to be held in Cessnock on March 11-12, 2003

According to Mr David Baker, Two Bishops Trust Project Development Coordinator and rally organiser, "This event will be an opportunity for the community to have their say and help bring jobs to Cessnock and to the Hunter region.

The Two Bishops Trust, a collaborative venture between the Hunter's Catholic and Anglican Churches, aims to inspire and unite the whole community in finding workable, just and creative solutions to unemployment.

The Trust has gathered support from local industry and the business community as well as Government.

To date, local sponsors for the event include Hunter Valley Gardens, Hydro Aluminium, Hunter Area Consultative Committee, HPOTS Training, Tyrrell's Wines, Wesley Uniting Employment and Salvation Army Employment Plus,

At the end of the rally an Employment Strategy will be developed to set out a path for the employment future of the community.

The Two Bishops Trust would like all members of the community to become a part of this exciting opportunity to be involved in the process of community and economic renewal.
