St Joseph's Home Reaches out to Teens Living with Cancer
Staff, residents and friends of St Joseph's Home, Sandgate will participate in a special event today (Thursday 18th September) to raise funds and awareness for CanTEEN, the peer support organisation for young people (12-24 years) living with cancer.

The event will involve a number of staff and friends of St Joseph's Home who have agreed to shave their heads, have crew cuts or their hair coloured.

According to April Sevenoaks, Learning and Improvement Coordinator at St Joseph's, "The event is a way for our residents to get involved in a worthwhile community activity by sponsoring staff for such a worthy cause.

"It will raise awareness and funds for CanTEEN and help our residents remain an active part of the local community," Ms Sevenoaks said.

The event will take place during a BBQ lunch between 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm today in the grounds of St Joseph's Home. Media are welcome to attend.
