Volunteers needed to prepare oils for Chrism Mass

The Diocesan Liturgy Council is looking for people interested in learning how to prepare the oils for the annual Diocesan Chrism Mass.

Volunteers needed to prepare oils for Chrism Mass

We are looking for about 4 to 8 people who would take responsibility for this ministry. It is a once a year commitment of about 4 hours, at a time that suits the group, most likely at a weekend.

This process, known as decanting, happens sometime before the annual Chrism Mass which is always the Tuesday night of Holy Week (March 31, 2015). In recent times the decanting process has been done by the Cathedral Sacristan and helpers.

Perhaps a group might consider taking this on – a parish, a school staff group, a group of friends or a family – or any individuals who are interested in becoming part of a team.

If you are interested please contact Sharon Murphy by January 30. P 4979 1134 or E sharon.murphy@mn.catholic.org.au
