National Mental Health Month

October is National Mental Health Month and this year’s theme is beYOUnique!

National Mental Health Month

Mental health issues will affect 1 in 5 Australians every year. Anxiety disorders are often the most common mental health challenge, followed by depression. Mental Health Month aims to raise awareness of mental health, wellbeing and the impact positive mental health has on our lives. Recognise everyone is unique and take this opportunity to support others and show them you accept their own uniqueness and celebrate their individual qualities.

If you need assistance, you can seek free, confidential and independent support from your employer's EAP counselling service. For Diocesan employees, call 1800 613 155 and for CatholicCare employees, call 4926 5005 and simply provide some basic details about yourself and your workplace, then we will offer you a confidential appointment with a counsellor at a time that suits you.
