Free Formation Program for those seeking to serve

The diocese, through the Adult Faith Formation Council, has a strong desire to support the ongoing formation of those involved in parish ministries and other ministries.

Free Formation Program for those seeking to serve

A free Formation Program is being offered which is designed for lay people who are currently serving, or are seeking to serve, in a parish or diocesan ministry position, including those involved in parish leadership, administrative personnel (secretaries, office managers, etc), diocesan and parish councils, Sacramental Teams, RCIA teams, Youth Ministry Teams, Bereavement/Caring/Funeral Ministry Teams, Chaplains, SRE teachers, Apostolic Groups and those exercising liturgical ministries.

The program has three areas of development:

  • Spirituality for Ministry
  • Integrity in Ministry
  • Formation for Leadership

Within each of these formation areas of Ministry there are four units of work, each of the units is three hours duration. Each unit will be credited towards a Diocesan Certificate in Ministry. See brochure and full timetable.

For this foundational formation program the cost will be covered by the Adult Faith Formation Council's budget. Participants will only need to bring their own lunch. Tea and coffee will be provided.
