A clergy sex abuse victims' advocate has praised the work of Zimmerman Services, speaking at the opening of their new Mayfield office.

Peter Gogarty spoke about the support provided by Zimmerman Services at the opening of their new offices which are shared with CatholicCare Social Services Hunter-Manning. Zimmerman Services is the child protection and healing and support agency of the Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle.

  

Peter told ABC News that the support services offered by the diocese were invaluable.

 

"Bishop Bill Wright and this Diocese have done some very, very proactive things to start offering support to people, like me and others, who need that sort of support." he said.
