NAIDOC Week was celebrated throughout Taree last week and CatholicCare Social Services Hunter-Manning took part in a number of events including the Reconciliation March and the Community Day.

CatholicCare Taree celebrates NAIDOC Week

At the Community Day CatholicCare invited people to make pasta necklaces in the Aboriginal colours and handed out wrist bands and CatholicCare bags. It was fantastic to see the community wearing the necklaces and wrist bands and filling the bags with goodies.

The new promotional resources (gazebo, tablecloth, banners) looked amazing and elicited a positive response from various members of the community. The CatholicCare team received many positive comments about their involvement in the day where everybody enjoyed a great atmosphere with lots of smiles and laughs.
