Redemptorist Fathers (CSsR)

St Alphonsus Liguori founded the Redemptorists in 1732 to provide for the spiritual needs of the poor, especially those living in the country. At the invitation of Bishop James Murray, they made their first foundation in Australian in the parish of Singleton in 1882. Since then they have preached Redemption in Christ through missions and other apostolic labours.
