Liturgy
Liturgy is the worship of the Christian
Church. It includes the Eucharist (Mass), Baptism and the other
sacraments, and also the Liturgy of the Hours (morning and evening
prayer).
Liturgy does not just refer to outward
ceremonial; it includes the powerful action of God in our midst
and our spiritual response of praise and thanksgiving. In the
liturgical action of the Church, Christ acts to save us.
Liturgy is a sacred sign in which
the words and actions made by the Church draw the participants
into the mystery of God's loving kindness.
